Explore South Devon

South Devon is famous for gorgeous beaches, rolling countryside, quirky towns and bucolic villages - but that’s just the beginning…

Beaches

Stretches of golden sand, turquoise water, hidden coves and plenty of opportunities to try surfing, kayaking or paddleboarding: check our our blog post on South Devon’s best beaches for some inspiration!

Step back in time

Visit Greenway, Agatha Christie’s spectacular summer home; explore Burgh Island with it’s Art Deco hotel and 14th century inn, and experience the decadence of the Jazz Age at Arts & Crafts marvel, Coleton Fishacre.

South West Coast Path

One of the longest walking routes in Britain, the South West Coast Path passes through Stoke Fleming. Favourite stretches include Stoke Fleming to Dartmouth, Torcross to Start Point and the East Soar Circular.

Family fun

Buckets and spades, train and boat trips down the River Dart, the South Devon Steam Railway or a day out at Woodlands Family Theme Park: there are countless days out that every member of the family can enjoy.

Historic Market Towns

Soak up the maritime charm of Dartmouth, the creative eccentricity of Totnes, the foodie flavour of Kingsbridge or the sandy shores of Salcombe - each has their own character, and all have great shopping and dining.

Dartmoor

Just a short drive north is the wild and untamed beauty of Dartmoor. Open moorlands, river valleys, rich wildlife and mysterious tors make Dartmoor a magic place to explore on foot or by bike.
